I have my normal car, a Neon, and am considering buying a Nissan 300zx Turbo. In the US, I've heard that their insurance will cover a new/used car for 30 days. Does that happen in Ontario as well, or would I have to get a new quote and up the premium?

I'm pretty sure your new vehicle will be automatically covered for 14 days, wWhether it is an additional vehicle or a replacement. During that time you have to notify your insurer, and they will adjust your premium accordingly.
But don't take any chances with message board advice, call your broker or agent to verify coverage.
