I'm basically new on all of this stuff so please bear with me. :D
Some of my fellow friends aren't Canadians so they don't have a SIN card, is it true that they can't file using UFile if they don't have a SIN card?
Also, is it relatively longer to get your return since you aren't Canadian?
If a mistake is found in your tax return filing, are your return benefits deemed void? What recourse can you take?
If you're a Canadian University student with no income, what's the typical amount you can get back?
Does it take a week to fill out the tax return on ufile.ca?
Thanks all!

If a mistake is found, they either charge you or refund you more.
It takes about 15 minutes to do on ufile.ca
If you have no income, it means you can't get anything back, since you didn't pay anything (I think?). But still file it because it could make you eligible for benefits such as GST rebates (free money every 3 months) and child tax credit and stuff.

Yes you need your SIN number or else you can't use netfile. You have to register through the CRA and thats part of the info you need. Plus, if this is the first year of filing, you cannot use the netfile service.

You get tax credits for university tuition. If you don't have income, you can either:
a) Allow your parents to use the credit on their return (and hopefully, they give you the $$ :cheesygri )
b) Carry over the credit until the next year
Restrictions apply in both cases.. I don't know the specifics.

No. Paperwork is paperwork.
Depends on mistake(s). Any potential refund(s) can be frozen until tax return is correctly completed and submitted. They may attempt phone & mail contact to inform you of incomplete return. eg. Incomplete income earnings reported.
Varies depending on location of residence and tax deductions(s) available from that particular province/territory.
