Couples talk about a lot of things when they're planning to get married. How many kids they want, where they'll live, how often they'll visit the in-laws, sex.
But there's one topic that often feels too personal to talk about. And that's money.

Money is THE first thing a potential couple talks about. Why do you think the first question a woman asks is "What do you do for living?" ;)

Only if you have more $$$ and your sure you'll be the major breadwinner. If not, well, skip the pre-nup. I mean, look at Nick & Jessica.

When she asks "What do you do for a living" You say, "Baby, I'm trying to do you for a living so we can make babies.

No surprise here. This also feeds into the fact that the number #1 reason for divorce is in fact MONEY. It may not buy hapiness, but it sure is important if you are going to reside in a major city.

I want my wife to pay all the bills etc, while my money is free to spend on things. And the return she gets is love.

I'm not sure that 'number #1 reason for divorce is in fact MONEY' as divorce is usually caused by a multitude of factors. I'll agree that it can be a major point of conflict though.

the #1 cuase of devorice is getting married in the first place. Just like the number one cause of car accidents is driving.
A couple doesnt need money, and having more of it doesnt ussaly help, most of the time its communication / honesty which moeny is jsut the topic not the reason. A relationship is a battle between stressors and love/emotions/joy, money is jsut one of many stressors and ussaly the one that tips the balance

Money can break relationships. For example, "you better pay me back my $5 this time, otherwise, thats it" ......... n well, you know what happened. AND ITS BETTER THAT WAY. See money affected trust...etc. honesty..blah blah.
