So i'm curious who's gotten their return back? I sumbitted everything through NetFile on the 14th of this month, and just got my return deposited this past friday.

It's definitely nice to have some cash back

So has anyone else gotten their return back?

I did mine by hand and filed it on the 1st, since I prefer to send them all my records and slips. Got it back yesterday: $3918.

if you want to know how much you will get back

you can try www.ufile.ca

if you make under $20,000 per year, its FREE. BUT BUT even if you make more than that, you can at least plug in your data, then the computer will spit out a reply with the amount of tax payable or refund payable. then you don't need to 'pay' them if you don't want to. you only 'pay' if you want the actual return to efile with.

i work part time, made ~10k and i got in the area of $400ish last year. I'm only 17 (was 16 for that tax time) so that might have something to do with it?

anyways, I've neglected my taxes. Got my T4 and all the paperwork. Guess it's time to hittup the local H&R block.

Depends on how much your employer deducted in the first place. If they took off 10,000 then you get a large return back. 8,000 and you would get a small return. If they only took off 6,000 then you would be owing money.

Getting a small return back is actually good in that a) you don't have to worry about paying and b) you get to use your money rather than have the government hold it and give it to you later (without interest).

I mailed out my tax return on the last week of February, and I haven't received anything yet.

I don't recall it ever taking this long after filing it fairly early. I know it's my fault for not using direct deposit, and I should have switched to it a long time ago. I'll sign up once 'My Account' is activated on the CRA website.

I finally received my refund on Friday.

Now to sign up with direct deposit so this delay won't happen again.

Is there a difference to file it at the cra? or using ufile? Is it straight forward?

I just filed my taxes last night. (ufile.ca and Netfile) I've been procrastinating this year, I don't know why. Normally, I file in February (before I have most of my slips) and get my return by the first week of March!

Do you think I'll get my refund within two weeks?

I finally got my income tax return. Would someone clarify exactly how much money I can contribute to an rrsp without paying tax.
my unused rrsp deduction limit at the end of 2005 is a number
then it adds up because of the income I made in 2005.
Then at the bottom it says your RRSP deduction limit for 2006
Is that my maximum amount I can contribute to an RRSP + 2000?
