I will be sending a number of basic surgical tools., needle forceps, surgical blades, surgical handles, hemostats etc etc to take to a war torn country.
Also things like, Packages of Sutures (obviously they have a needle packaged with them).

Would these items draw any attention, or in fact more importantly be confiscated?

I'm sure carry-on is crazy since many years now...but is it as paranoid for stow-away luggage?

Thanks,

EDIT: sorry najibs., Just to clarify, I am looking for certified claims, references preferable. Opinions are not needed, as I don't want my (human delivery person) to get bum-searched at Mirabel or Dorval...let alone in Frankfurt hehe.

You can't take it as carry on, but you can send it with your baggage in the belly.

why not just call the airline and ask and get 100% official confirmation  takes 5 minutes.

definitely not carry-on...
they should be in the checked-in luggage

call the airline, and get it in writing to be 100% safe. Thats what we do for paintball (although I havnt done it personally) to carry across the markers and compressed air cylinders (empty ofcourse)
