Anyone do it? Do you recommend it at all? It seems I can get some nice pairs of pants for pretty cheap...

It really depends. There are a lot of fakes on ebay so you have to becareful about that and know how to spot them.

I also tend to not to buy clothes often online because sizes tend to vary so it may not fit as well as you expect it to.

But if you find a reliable site, I don't see why not. Take a look at their return policy, etc.

I don't buy used cloth, only used electronics. As for new cloth, I think the shipping kills any deal.

I love ebay! lol
Just make sure to get all measurements in exact detail if not stated int he auction. measure yourself & remeasure to be sure.

Check feedback - Some sell knock offs

Verify the colour if not stated as everyones computer screen is different, & sometimes camera's don't take the true colour, & you think your getting something red & it shows up at your door Maroon.

Always check if they are shipping gaugers too! if teh price seems really cheap, check what they charge for shipping.

Request usps shipping - you rarely get nailed with customs if buying out of the country (whhich buying outside of the country usually has way more deals)
UPS is absolute crap, so avoid sellers who use them as their shipping method, or ask the seller before you bid what is their method of shipping if not stated on the auction.

Have fun & happy bidding! lol

P.S. no I am not addicted to Ebay ;)

Man, i need to check it out. Being missing out on the action due to the bad review member gave ebay. Well, if it's great, I could buy a lot of really cheap stuff.

Ya, well i dont buy used clothes either... and in terms of shipping ive found most which is around 6-8$ which isnt that bad if you can get some nice brand name stuff for cheap

So in terms of customs nothign eh? That's more encouraging then. Ya I know about USPS and UPS already, I've read endless threads about it on RFD :D

Sorry I was typing & checking my bidding status on ebay at the same time, so excuse the grade 3 gibberish my message looked like. (Thanks divx for quoting it, I will remember that ;) )

Another tip: Try finding sellers with multiple items you want, huge savings on multiple wins. Usually they charge one shipping price for the first item then $1 or $2 for each additional item, which gets you more items for your buck.

I have been dinged 3 times out of over 400 auctions won in duty, but it is like $8 or so.
Most ebay sellers will mark a lower price on your package, but must U.S Sellers will not mark gift, so I don't suggest you ask.

make sure they fit!... since u cant return them.. some sellers offer returns and exhanges but shipping isnt worth it... always follow on the measurements instead of the actual size.. and some sellers would lower the price if u ask them..

i purchased a pair of shirts and the seller was asking for $30 shipping?!... i asked him that at max it would be $15 shipped... so i ended up paying $10... hehehe

i do all the time, i buy vintage so I'm really taking my chances but so far everything has been as described so no surprises. the only burn is that half the time the shipping is the same as or more than the listed price. always find out shipping before bidding! I love ebay too! maybe it's a good thing shipping is expensive....
