so my wiper blades don't wipe off water anymore, they kinda smear the water making it harder to see...

so im gonna buy new ones... are those reflex blades that you see on the commercials good ones to get?

They are good , but cost 4x as much as regular blades. So you just think to yourself 1 pair of reflex or 4 pairs of regular blades. I personally used both and rather get just regular 5.99 blades and change them once a year.

Reflex wipers are good right off the bat, but they leave big streaks after a month or two of use.

Bosch wipers are pretty good. They are OEM on a lot of cars...

I"ve been using the reflex blads for about a year, and they're perfect. So far no streaks, i'd say probally one of the best investments for my car.

i must be cursed, because i've had poor luck with both the teflon blades and the reflex blades. i'm now using the michelin hydroedge ones that costco carries. only had them for two weeks, so here's hoping. . .

reflex is good. i've used them for this past winter. great at high speeds. A few cops I know changed their cop cruisers to reflex blades because the wipers are functional at higher speeds than traditional wipers.

they are not as good in severe winter weather as the big fat winter blades...

Don't know if I'd recommend them due to the high cost.

"Valeo" - Ultimates, just put them on the car yesterday, proabably one of the best.

Bosch - Icons, a copy of the Valeo ultimates, suppose to be just as good, not sure if they are avaliable in Canada yet, but should be by mid-april.

Also, the reflex blades are cheap immitations of the valeo ultimates.

I used teflon last year, there really good at not streaking for the first 2 seasons. They then streak like a mofo

This time I bought reflex, they are AMAZING on icy windsheilds and on the highway. Infact going through those highspeed dryers at the car wash my blades dont even lift up.

They do however streak dispite what anyone may tell you, at least mine do. Not in rain or anything but when your windsheild has all that salt and crap on it, I find it streaks

Went to crappy tire they don't seem to have cut to measure rubber wiper blades only, rather the full system attachment. Any other automotive departments or stores could try?

Did you get the Valeos from a Canadian retailer? I've searched high and low for them without any luck... thanks!

Bought a pair about 9 months ago, and the blades came off the wiper in the middle...maybe just my like, but I returned them to CT and got regular Teflon blades...Just my opinion, but don't think they're worth the extra money.

SilBlade, come with 5 year warranty, they are awesome blades. www.silblade.com.

I have them on two of my familys cars. Awesome stuff and well worth it. 5 year warranty, if they ever stop working like the day they were new, or if they strip apart from anywhere, or wear down unusually, then send them in for warranty (new pair no cost).

These are silicone rubber blades. Silky smooth and no chatter.

Right now they are $24.99 each @ LockDown Securities. If you get them, tell them My93Civic from TCC sent ya. If you get them by the end of April, NO TAX!!

+1 for the set of Silblades.

I bought a set (also from Jeff @ Lockdown) before the winter season and they still work like new. In fact, when the wipers my girlfriend's car goes, I'll be switching her over as well.

Mind you, I also use RainX in the summer & RainX Antifreeze solution in the winter. For those who are lazy, I recommend the antifreeze solution.

As for Rubber blades (and the teflon blades) they just need some TLC, just clean them with a clean rag and some isopropyl alcohol/lemon juice/vinegar and you'll find that they'll work better. Soak the rag, and run it down the length of the wiper blade.

+1 low profile blade from Waltmart.

Over priced reflex blade is just not worth it. $25 for a piece of rubber blade? Come on.

I've owned the Teflon blades, the Reflex blades, and currently have the Bosch blades.

Teflon and Reflex are both good right off the bat, but they start streaking like mad a few months into it. Not to mention the squeaky noise the made, which was downright irritating. At speeds higher than 115km/h, the reflex blades would lift and fail miserably. In the winter, ice does accumulate on the blades and they will streak even worse.

I've had the Bosch blades for about 9 months now (bought from Partsource) and so far they seem to be the best of the bunch. There's minimal streaking and no squeaking. There's also no lift at highway speeds.
