Hi,

I was walking along St. George street to school and what I first thought was a very sexy black G35, turned out to be a SKYLINE Infiniti? The words were spelt out like: S K Y L I N E .. I haven't ever seen something like this before...is this sold in Canada?

The G35 is known as a skyline in Japan. It's probably some enthusiast that changed their badges.

NA-350z....JPN-Fairlady
NA-IS300...JPN-Altezza
NA:RSX....JPN-Integra

It's the same car .... one name for the Asian market ... one name for the North American market.

They like to play the JDM card and attempt to look different and 'cooler.'

Because they live their life a 1/4mile at a time...for those 10 seconds or less...
they're free.

It was just a matter of time before somebody said that  But yeah. North american people are getting into the JDM theme. really its quite pointles because people are willing to dump a crap load of money just for JDM climate control!!?? really WTF just go there and buy a car over there. but anyway its there money and they have the right to do what ever they want with it.

If by 'Skyline GT' you meant to say 'Skyline GT-R' then no, the G35 is NOT the Skyline GT-R.

But if you meant to ask if the G35 is the plain jane 'Skyline' then yes, the G35 is the 'Skyline'

Skyline GT-R and Skyline are two totally (pretty much) different cars.

thank you :)

back in the R34 days, i think the only thing that was the same was the body-style (for the most part).. for the current generation, they'll be splitting off completely... people got to understand there's a difference in skyline and skyline gt-r :)

the rebadging looks cool and makes your car stand out, and not just simply a G35, even though it looks the same. same idea as the 350Z is known as the Fairlady Z in Japan

Everybody wants to be different, just like everybody else.

Skyline is a much more prestigious name than G35.

But still it lacks punch since it's nolonger the Skyline GT-R which is officially gone. We might get the Skyline GT, a completely different car in a year or two.
