Got a company car so I am looking to sell my 2005 Toyota Corolla. It is light grey, base model. 57,000km on it. Oil changes/maintaince every 5000km @ dealership

asking $12,000 firm

I do not want to have a lot of phone calls or requests to test drive/see the car. If you are interested pm me and we can figure something out. Otherwise I will take it back to the dealer.

EDIT: I must be stupid, I forgot to mention this includes a set of winter tires on steel rims (currently mounted) which have been used the past two winters (late nov - late march) Also included are the stock tires (all season on steel rims)

EDIT #2: Carfax available

Lets get this sold!

EDIT #3: PICS

i dont want to be meant, but i think you should take it back to the dealer.

Ppl wont spend $12000 without great consideration and fully check the car. The way you sound like since this is a good price take it or leave it. Good price or not the car can be a lemon.

You got it, I have no interest in haggling or doing demos.... It is a standard car, no surprises. If it is not gone within a week it is going to the dealer and thats the end of that.

Good summary MameXP!

How much will you get for it if you take it back to the dealer?

I don't think providing responses to questions is considered a bump.
If I needed a car, this would be a fantastic price!

It is considered a bump. It doesn't really matter.

Can you give the exact specs?

wild
Mar 16th, 2006, 01:18 PM
pm me with what exactly you need, im not a car guy but i can look it up.... its a standard corolla so whatever is standard thats what it is

I just checked the "black book value" of the Corolla and his price is very good.

With the limited info listed and based on the car having air conditioning, being automatic and with power steering you can expect the car to sell for around

lowest: $11,113
highest: $13,363

Again, this is just a estimate/approximation.. You also have to consider if the car exterior is in great condition - any dents or scratches, etc. If anyone is interested in the car, they'd be better off buying the car privately (such as in this case) rather than the dealer..

Or if you do take it to the dealer make sure they don't give you less then what's stated above as the "black book value" is sometimes what they buy the car at.

Hope this helps! :)

p.s. I forgot to mention if you do decide to take the car to a dealership, at least you know what to expect with the price range estimate would be and not have them "under-quote" you.

This sounds like a CE model. I was at a dealership looking at one a couple days ago. It was sticker $15,400, only talked him down to $14,600, so I passed on it.
This sounds like a good deal to me.

Sorry i could be jumping to conclusion too quick. It sounds to me that he doesn't like to provide any basic details except it's $12000, base model and 57000km. It's the seller's responsibility to provide the details of the product you selling. In this case, it's a car, which people would love to know a little more (options? pictures?). I honest do not know what kinda GREY it is if i were interesed...Also, no test drives? You are not selling Porsche, no one would want to waste their time calling you up to see/test drive if they are not interested. Having saying you don't want people to call you up showing people you are not sincere to deal, unless something is wrong here..

Whoever interested in the car please be 2x more becareful because it sounds like a lemon is asking for a new home.

It doesnt really bother me that you think its a lemon b/c it will be going back to the dealer next saturday, I just wanted to give RFD first crack @ the car. You are welcome to come over and look at it all you want.

I have the carfax report which answers most of the questions that have been asked. I have answered in PM plenty of questions. There is nothing I am hiding here

are there any scratches on the body? yes
ever been in accident? no
anything wrong with vehicle as is? no
does it have air conditioning? yes i have stated this
abs brakes? no idea whatever comes on a base CE model
mp3 enabled cd player? factory standard cd player
keyless entry? this is standard on every car

It is the buyers responsibility to ask questions which I have answered quite quickly....
There are no options on the car other then air conditioning & power locks
I am not interested in window shoppers however if you want to buy it you can certainly test drive it....
I'm not a "car guy" which is why I do not know every detail, if you want to come over and scour it, knock yourself out

I just picked this car up. This guy was nice enough to drive the car to Mississauga from Toronto, and also came to a Toyota Dealer with me to get the car checked out. Great car, Even better seller.
To all RFDers, next time don't post stupid comments, unless you are certain about what your saying.
