This is something that I am having a hard time finding. Any places you know of or recommend for some good waffles?

The Pickle Barrel has the best waffles - not expensive compared to Marche and Demetrie's, but better WAFFLES (please note that for other food items, I don't really like Pickle Barrel). Their waffles are really good though - the strawberry one is my favourite - comes with real strawberries and a side of frozen yogurt that goes really well with the hot waffle. Also served with real maple syrup. I think the strawberry waffle is $7.99.

Caffe Demetre is pretty good for waffles. I love le pomme when they use fresh apples (some of their locations cop-out and use pie filling). The best location I have been to is on bloor street near royal york in the kingsway (near a shoppers drugmart). Excellent coffee too :)
FYI beware of the locations in york region, they are not as nice.

AFAIK, there are no Roscoe's franchises in Toronto.

Chicken and waffles? Is that a common combination?

Waffles and ice cream - now thats a good combo.

We have De Dutch Panekoek House but I think they are just out west.

Yeah, I think I pretty much knew that answers - it's probably too authentic for up here.

You can get chicken and waffles with dijon sauce and blueberry compote for lunch at Mildred Pierce. www.mildredpierce.com The are almost $15 though. The place is hard to find on Sudbury street (near King and Dufferin) in Toronto.

They're across the street from Cloverdale Mall in Etobicoke, Dundas and East Mall. I've only tried the crepes here (which I love) but I've heard that the waffles are very good as well.

I totally agree. Most Pickle Barrel items are mediocre at best but their waffles are great. I haven't had them anywhere else but I imagine Cafe Demetre's would be good as well (their omelet is amazing).

Just came back from there. The waffle was quite good, along with the generous portions of fruit and ice cream. Unlike Demetres, they didn't charge a surcharge just because strawberries were out of season.

I like ice-cream on waffle too especially when I ain't full from dinner and spare some space in my stomach :)

- I've been to Cafe Mirage (one in Kennedy Commons 401/Kennedy and another one on Yonge/Sheppard) and love their *East Meets West* a lot. I think they used to be called Plantation way back to late 90s but name changed...

- Richtree (formerly Marche) offered good waffle too but they just farther than the Cafe Mirage from my location unless I work late @ work, downtown

- Demetre, nice choice... I liked it especially when there was one up on Market Village where Seoul Garden currently located... nice spacious location...

Can't think of any up on my mind now.... chatted with a friend on this topic the other day and sadly found out hard to find new places offer good waffles now besides those we visited before...
