What are your experience with Nissan Altima (2002+)? I've been reluctant to look into this car because the price drops so quickly compared to cars like Lexus...But regardless of price, how's the performance, repair, reliability, fuel economy, etc.. of this car?

My friend own one, i believe 2002 or 2003, he say it haven't give him any problem so far, he told me his next car will be also be a Nissan. Feels pretty good inside, smooth ride, but I think it is too big tho.

u cant really compare an altima w/ lexus..
altima was meant to compete with camry/ accord

my parents have one, i jsut dont like the overwhelming plastic on the dash. otherwise, its a good solid car..

is there a reliability issue with these model yrs ? not sure if our family friend got a lemon (a 2003 altima s); within first six months, car stalled once while driving, and another time wouldnt start in their garage

took to dealer, couldnt find any problems -- told them to call the dealer instead of CAA the next time it wouldnt start

I had a 1995 Altima for 4 years that was great for me. My In-Laws have a nice 2003 2.5S that has been perfect for them.

They've driven it for Florida 2 or 3 times and they have had no problems at all. Big car with TONS of trunk space.
