Recommend any? I hate starting off dates bad because of a poorly selected restaurant.
From experience the only really good one I've been to is Folcos www.folcos.com.

that would depend on your budget and what you're looking for food wise.

try Mildred Pierce.
Very romantic ambience, has candles etc. Good food too and isn't too pricey.

I say McDonalds', Taco Bell, KFC, if she's game for those places then she has earned herself a second date in my book.

fine dining in TO is overrated, you get small portion with lowest grade of food at the highest price possible. What's this? soup for $6?? Yukon gold potato?? That's the cheapest potato at Dominion, haha.

I'd say... want to impress? learn to cook and have a nice candlelight dinner at home (hope you don't live with your parents ;))... make a nice 3 course meal and save 'desert' for later. this way you can get to the backrub much quicker ;)

I've been to Folco's. The waitress was nasty and the service was horrible. I think the staff and the food at Al Dente's across the street from Folco's is much better.
