I'm currently using Dialpad. Its awful. People love it...but I don't!!! The call quality is horrendous...I'm sick of it.
What i need is: unlimited north america and ok call quality for a low price.
dialpad is about $15. good price, too bad the damn thing won't work...any recommendations?

The following is not spam, and may contain hacks :
I use AdCalls. It allows me to have free long distance calls to Canada and the U.S.A, although it's not worldwide.
Con: It displays ads.
Pro: You can remove the ads with a hack.
*UNLIMITED CALL HACK*
1. First go into the adcalls-->skin-->skin1 folder
2. Then right-click on timerDisplay.xsl and open it with notepad
3. Scroll to the bottom and look for "startclock(00,09,59);"
4. Now change that to "startclock(00,99,59);" or whatever you like
5. Now enjoy UNLIMITED CALLS
*NO ADS HACK*
1. First go into the adcalls-->ads folder
2. Then delete everything in the folder
3. Also in the main directory(adcalls) go into the ADs.ini file and delete everything inside and save it.
3. No more ADS, enjoy (This also fixes the main program and now you can click the phone buttons without the program crashing on you)
You can download AdCalls at: http://adcalls.net/AdCalls.exe

Skype is too expensive
jacksont123 thank you, but that program hangs up on me every 10-15 minutes still. I can't use that!

you might want to read up on adcalls abit more before you download it. some pretty shady stuff in their user agreement about giving them permission to contact anyone you call with there program to solicit them

This is a really cool service
JAJAH (http://www.jajah.com/)
You don't need to download software and you just use a normal phone.
The per minute rates are really cheap too, I would use this alot more often if I didn't already have a unlimited north america VoIP plan.

I've recently tried VoipStunt
http://www.voipstunt.com/en/splashvoipin.html
You pay 10 Euro and you can make unlimited calls to most of the countries in the world for 4 months. Quality isn't the best but it's reasonable. You can do short calls for free I think just to test the quality.

well Adcalls..modifying the ads thing changes only display
i tried changing the timing value
i guess the timing may...have a hell of a change of working..if you kill the timer so it never increments the number of calls.
if u run wpe pro u realize it is using SIP to send the stuff..
