2:1 vanilla ice cream to milk is good
banana is good

now add approx the same volume mixed berries as banana
and 1 raw egg.

3 scoops softened Strawberry ice cream
half cup milk or light cream
half cup frozen blueberries

Don't put frozen solid ice cream in unless you have a strong blender

or for a chocolate fix

3 scoops Chocolate ice cream
half cup milk or light cream
optional but good - Big squeeze of chocolate syrup
optional - 2 Tbs Malt powder (Horlicks or whatever - Ovaltine)
optional - 1 Tbs instant coffee
optional - crushed Oreo - no filling

In my Magic Bullet (I got a good deal on it) I do this one alot

Strawberry Ice Cream
Bananas
Frozen Raspberrys
Strawberry Syrup
Milk 2:1 Ratio

Tastes excellent. Sometimes some orange instead of the raspberrys as well.

Remember to add a good capful of pure vanilla extract to your milkshakes, especially banana. It makes it even more luxurious tasting!

Milk, vanilla ice cream, chocolate syrup and 2-3 healthy tablespoons of chunky peanut butter. Damn good.

Here's my latest shake smoothie or blended creation:

- 1/2 cup of Milk (preferably vanilly or original Soy)
- 1 to 2 Reeese Peanut butter cups, you can try adding a whole pack if your adventurous & want to get more of than Reese peanutty taste.
- 1 whole Banana
- Bailey's (for those over 19)

Blend until smoooth and enjoy. Goes down nice & tasty.

Try it now & thank me later.

Awesome ideas on milkshakes so far.

Usually when I'm craving for a shake, I just take whatever ice cream is in the fridge, add some milk, and I've always added a couple mint candies for that cool bite.

Nothing fancy, but I like it just fine. I do plan on trying out your recipes sometime, though.

Just got this recipe from the new Naked Chef Cookbook (hot off the press). ;) I call this a lo-cal ethnic milkshake.

Mango Lassi

This Indian drink is like a mango milkshake and is delicious.

9 fluid ounces (255 millilitres) plain yoghurt
4 1/2 fluid ounces (130 millilitres) milk
4 1/2 fluid ounces (130 millilitres) canned mango pulp or 7 ounces (200 grams) from 3 fresh mango, stoned and sliced
4 teaspoons sugar, to taste, or feel free to try salt and cardamom seeds

Put all the ingredients into a blender and blend for 2 minutes, then pour into individual glasses, and serve. Feel free to try salt and cardamom seeds. The lassi can be kept refrigerated for up to 24 hours

Yield: 4 servings
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time:
Difficulty: Easy
