Guys,

Just finished watching a couple of amazing presentations on a co-worker's IMAC.

Is there any alternative for those of us stuck using powerpoint 2002?

Any software out there to make us come close to IMACs??? I couldn't believe how the presenation looked, even with the cool slide transitions.

Any advice out there for future presentations?

Are you a Mac or PC user ?

For PC, there is the free Microsoft Powerpoint viewer.
If you want to make .ppt compatible presentations, use OpenOffice.

Maybe there's a Mac version of OpenOffice ?

I am a PC user (but that's the problem!!)

I hate the way ppt presentations come off looking...I saw a presentation on a MAC and it looked AWESOME. I don't know what software they were running, but the presentation was way more impactful!

Powerpoint, and its derivatives, are bad. It's a nasty way to present information, and has spawned a new era of bad practices when it comes to informing an audience.

The fact that the look of the Mac software (Keynote, I take it?) made the content somehow more impressive to you speaks volumes to what we've done to ourselves.
