I doubt they'd be Antec's, but you never know.

Anyone who buys a no name 350W PSU for $40 must be stoned.

Go to Canada Computers and get a rock solid Enermax 350W for the same price.

As for your original question, I have never heard of them. I suggest going with brand name. A generic PSU is like playing with fire.

Tell you what,I'll go to the store tommorrow and get them to open up the 465w box,so I can see the volts on rails etc...maybe I'll get a model# too.I'm using a 300w Sparkle at the moment and it was only $40.00 ,what I'm getting at is maybe the retail plus+ psu's are rebranded name brand's.I was hoping someone knew.I'll update tommorrow.Shaner,I'd go to Canada Computers but I don't want to drive 4 hrs to Toronto when I can drive 2 minutes to Staples. But your right on one thing ,usually name brand psu is the way to go,but if I can find a good deal,I'll take it.

Get my head out of my ass? Are you really that ignorant? How the hell would I know if North Bay has a Canada Computers or not? Besides, a lot of other computer stores have similar prices to CC. I can count 3 or 4 stores where I live that have the same prices that CC does.
I think you need to get your head out of your ass and quit being so ignorant.

And where did I say anything about the 465w PSU? I said not to buy a no name 350w PSU for $40. I didn't say a thing about the 465w.

Easy Shaner, you implied I had to be stoned to buy a 350w psu, which I'm not, never said I was buying it.I'm sure you can count 3 or 4 stores where YOU LIVE that have similar prices to CC,but not here.I'm not being ignorant, but why would you suggest I go to Canada Computers when there isn't one here???You are correct you didn't say anything about the 465w psu,all I said was I'd check the 465w psu out at Staples, take a pill guy!

How in the bloody hell would I know if there is a CC where you live or not? Also, how would I know what other computer stores are in your city/town? I don't! Besides, CC was just an example. My point was you can buy a rock solid Enermax 350w PSU for $40, so anyone (not necessarily you, it's a general statement) who buys a generic one for the same price must be stoned.

If you expect all of RFD to know what stores and prices are available where you live, pack your ***** up and leave now, because I bet about 95% of RFD has never been to North Bay. I repeat, don't be so ignorant!

Ok Shaner, relax, you obviously haven't taken your pill.I don't recall asking anyone at RFD to know what stores and prices are available where I live,as for being ignorant, isn't that the kettle calling the pot black? You get the point?I'll edit out the "head out of your a**" part of my post and change it to something more palatable just for you.LOL.

The cheapest 350W Enermax I can find in montreal is about $65, far from your 40 :(

So computer hardware pricing isn't the same across canada ;)

i dont care who makes it, Retail Plus? no specs? Staples?
stay the hell away, unless it's so damn cheap(which it isn't) or it's 8pm and you really need PSU right now and all the computer store are closed at 6/7pm.

that PSU is probably as good as free PSU that comes with some POS no name computer case

Retail Plus can be anything (like you can find NEC, Samsung or Toshiba DVD burner in Retail Plus retail box). You really need to head out to Staples and open the box up and take a look.

Alternatively, for ~ the same price and without the guess work, check this out ... http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=17076&vpn=ATX-400-PN-B&manufacture=Fortron%20Source&promoid=1061

Argh, I just bought a Retail Plus one at Staples, as they didn't have the Antec. Futureshop only has Dynex brand, and Wal-mart doesn't even sell them. That's about it for shopping in my town. Anyway, this thing is noisy - I might have to buy one from NCIX after all. Any suggestions for the 450 watt and up model? Thanks!

If you want quicker shipping than with ncix.com, you can buy your PSU online from TigerDirect.ca

I've bought many things from them, and their products seem to reach my here in Toronto in 3 business days.

This retail plus one is super loud. Time to box it up and take it back, and I will buy the Fortron @10% off at NCIX. Thanks!
