PS2 Which Version

Just bought a PS2 ffrom FS yesterday and I read on the forum that only V12 can be modded currently. Is there a way to tell which Ver it is from the box without opening it, in case I want to return it

Also, any good recommendation for a place to modd it. In downtown if possible

I thought you could still return it even if you opened it as long as it's in it's original packaging.

I'm not sure, try checking the box for a SCPH number and serial number.
