Does anyone know where the cheapest, but good place/mod chip to buy? I want a direct boot chip. My gameshark swap chip is getting way too annoying. Thanks.

How's the quality of the chip? Loads every time? Oh and... do you know if it's easy to desolder an old chip and replace with a new one? Thanks again.
EditEdit : is djxp a member of RFD? Hey djxp, if your reading this, do you have anymore chips to sell?

it's easy for me since i'm a modder, but that doesn't say much, unless you are pro at soldering.

I think I'll do ok then...
But is djxp a member or a site? $10 sounds very good and I'd like to get one at that price.

Ok... sorry to hear that. I'll try nonanon. Thanks.
EDIT: You know... once you hear a low price, any price above that, even if it's reasonable or worth it, won't seem very appealing. I was expecting to get a chip for $50, then I find out I could have gotten one for $10. Now nonanon's $25 chip sounds unappealing to me even though it's half as much as I expected to pay. Damn brain.
Anyway, is $25 for the Crystal Chip v1.0 modchip good? Anywhere I can get it for lower?

look for chemmoo in the game section. He sells mod chips. I haven't bought one from him but I asked him alot of questions and he replied all of them. Friendly person.

Nvm... I looked at some pictures and the areas needed to be soldered is way to tight. Especially since I still can't solder for s***. Well whatever I stick with my swap boot... :|. Thanks anyway.
But one more thing... my friend's PS2 is direct boot, but can hardly read games anymore. Am I right to assume that switching his dvd drive with mine will work? Or will his system tear apart my dvds laser as well?
