hi, one of my vw passat 99's headlight just blew and I'm thinking about getting one of those neon headlights and put it in myself just wondering if it's really difficult to do. thnx

Its normally quite easy. Check your car's owner manually to see if there are instructions. My mom's civic had instructions which made the whole thing very easy.

It is not difficult at all most people can handle this. Just make sure you don't touch the glass portion of the light bulb.

And becareful when you're pulling the bulb through the black sealant thing...you don't want to rip it off

Latex gloves are helpful when changing headlights. I have never heard of neon headlights, can someone elaborate?

Perhaps he meant those imitation xenon headlights.

Actually for a Passat it can be quite tricky to change the bulbs , just because of the lack of room in the engine space to work your hand into there. You might have to remove part of the air intake on the passenger side to change that side's bulb.
