I'm creating a home network for several PCs from a Linksys WRT54G but it has only 4 ports for wired connection... I don't want to run wireless so I am looking at getting a network hub... I need only extra 4 ports and found this...

is there any known brand network hub is compact size like this? due to limited space so that I'd like to get one as small as it can be...
p.s. just happened to find the netgear one when #2 posted below :)
Thx for everyone's input.

You've already found a known brand. SMC is good.
If you want even smaller, check out this one: http://www.netgear.com/products/details/EN104TP.php. It's only 10BaseT though. We've got some in the office and no one has complained about them.

Gigafast? (http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=262784&Tab=11&NoMapp=0) , I don't own one personally, but I do have some issues with my SMC 16 port switch.

get a switch instead, when u have too much traffic between pc's using a hub will slow down ur network. The price difference is not that much. I have a 3COM 5 port switch with no problems. Bear in mind that 1 port will be reserved to connect to the router, which leaves me 4 available ports for pc's. It will also take a port in the router.

That SMC is one of the best Canadacomputer used to sell. It's called EZxxxxDS because it's 10/100 Bandwidth. I run 2 in my house so there's alway uninterrupted Movies from my basement server.

AGREE :!: Do NOT buy a hub :!: :!: You will experience massive packet collisions. You need a switch :!: :!: :!:

checked out Oosples flyer the other day, and they have the Linksys 5-port network switch on special... with 2 rebates, it's $25 tax in. It's small I think and Linksys is realiable to me (I have had 2 routers from Linksys so far)... went to one store and it sold out, and end up picked one up at another location...
