Is there anything I can do with a car that is 2 years old and is constantly in the dealership because of problems.

Everything is wrong with it - fix one problem - 5 more appear. Can't keep it out of the dealership

If it's *that bad* maybe you could sue Mazda and argue a breach of implied conditions or warranties, under either the Sale of Goods Act or the Consumer Protection Act.
Essentially, the argument is that, under the law, goods sold must be fit for the purpose for which they are sold. If it's always in the dealership, it's really not fit for the purpose for which you bought it - to provide you with transportation, on a reasonably reliable basis.
This is why when a retailer sells you a broken product and refuses to refund or exchange, it is violating the law, regardless of any store policy.

> Did you purchase this Mazda3 from a Mazda dearlership or a New car dealership (like GM, Ford, ...) or those used car wholesaler or private sale?
> What was the condition when you purchased the car? It is a 2 years old and what is the milage on it?
> What the asking/sold price under average Mazda3 (same year/milage)?
> How many month(s) after you pickup the car did those problems come out?
> And what are those problem? Are they normal wear repair or huge job like A/C, transmission, engine...? They ususally cover under Mazda warranty, right?
If you purchased this 2 yr old M3 from Mazda dealership with reasonable market value and cert from them. And all these non normal wear problems showed up with 1 month (normal driving). Then bring it back to Mazda dealership and talked to them. They do not want to ruin their reputation because of a cheap used car.

Not I haven't - I wasn't sure that it was an option however, I'll be bringing it shortly for my recent set of problems and I'll be making a request then.

Try taking it to another dealership, they might have trolls working on your car like the ones at Mercedes Benz on Boundry Road who keeps breaking my already crappy lemon car. Even after over a year since getting rid of that car I still flame up everytime.

Sunoco sells ethanol blended gas which has lower energy content --> poorer gas mileage. But still 300km /45L this is like 15L /100km, worse than most minivan.

There is actually precedence for this, I remember reading the case in my case book, sadly however I've since sold the text book so I don't remember the details. In the end I do know the car owner did win, but I think it had more to do with the amount of time the car spent in repair rather then the car being in for repair, that it was in so often that he really wasn't getting anything for his money.

Sorry to hear about your problems. If you want to switch repair shops check out the toronto mazda 3 forum. There are techs on that forum so you can post there and you'll be able to get a lot better feedback from people that work at the dealerships. Also, it will help you figure out which dealership will likely give you better service.

Ever since Ford got involved with Mazda, it's been a free fall without no end in sight. Several industry reports have them near the bottom of reliability with Kia and Suzuki now. OUCH.

I recently had to deal with a few salesman/managers, the only one that pissed me off was the used car sales manager for one of the Mazda dealership...didn't know his product, and when questioned on it, wouldn't admit it. The laziest person I had to deal with too, thought it was an effort to get keys for a test drive. Honda people and other Mazda dealerships were great, if they didn't know, they found out and not bs'd.

I had a problem with Madza when i owned a MX-3 back in the days.
Turns out parts of my car (silver color) was actually originally red because I had scratches I needed repainted and the shop (i use to work at) discovered the red underneath the silver.
I brought the car back and the manager said they are allowed to replace a certain percentage of a new car with old parts and still consider it brand new.
I ended up leaving with that remark. I'm not sure if it's true or he's just making it up.

I believe car dealers can repair new cars damaged in transit and still sell them as new, but I also think they are required to disclose this to the purchaser.
Regardless, you were dealing with a dishonest dealer. Sadly, that's most of them.

wtf are you getting at? Honda builds their own engines and transmissions, they are one of the best for that!.
Sure the mazda has a **** load of extra features that may appeal to you and the youth of this time, but for me, i want a car thats not gonna stop in the middle of the road and for that I give honda and toyota the praise.
I frequent 3-4 different forums, and you know what, each forum I have been to there has been atleast 1 bad experience with the Mazda 3. And their new cars, compared to honda civics, accords and preludes, they've been out for a while, and still nothing major of a problem with them.
Mazda doesnt have lemons, they just have crappy cars in all ;)

Get over yourself. I see just as many problems with Honda's as with Mazdas. I drive a Mazda 3 Sport and it's awesome. The dealership I go to (Dave Wood Mazda in Newmarket, ON) is fantastic and they're always quick to help with anything they can help with.
Now take that crap, and go post it in off topic where the rest of the trolls hang out. This person is looking for advice and not for your backwards fanboy logic.
OP: Talk to Mazda corporate, and supply them with a record of all the service done to the car. Hopefully they'll be able to help you out.
PPS: Anyone that is smack talking the 3 needs to remember that it's also made in JAPAN, in a MAZDA PLANT. Not by ford in NA. Not that I'm smack talking cars made in NA, just saying that it's Japanese built.

As a long time Mazda owner, I'll put my faith in their product versus your "likely uneducated" BS response to a fine product. Your generalizing does little to help the person with the problem, or to gain respect from other auto enthusiasts in the forum. Do you have any specific Mazda historical experience to make you feel the way you do, or are you just trying to look cool to those others that may not like Mazda? Your comment kind of makes you look like a BS'er....so guess you and Mazda may be more alike than you realize!

I don't know if that's normal. A 33% reduction due to cold temperature doesn't seem to make sense to me. I get between 11km to 12 km per litre all year long. If anything, my fuel economy gets worse in the summer because of A/C but not too noticeably. The way I drive is the only thing that noticeably changes my fuel economy.
