I've bought several packs of these from FactoryDirect. The batteries are very good, and hold a charge very well. Only problem is the charger, which is a slow beast. Takes 12-15 hours for a 2000+ mAh AA, and doesn't automatically cut it off after that time, so you face the prospect of damaging or even destroying your batteries if you forget them there.
Do yourself a favor and get a better charger if you get these, but the batteries themselves are indeed excellent.

Actually, with a charger that slow you don't really have to worry about overcharging.

I had one and it did overcharg and damaged one battery. The plastic on the charger also melted a little due to the heat...
be sure drained the batteries and pull it when you estimate the time they are full. better to get a smart charger.

RCSS has energizer chargers on sale, a bit more but better batteries and chargers.
The slow charger w/ 4x 2500mA/h AA for around $21.xx, car charger w/ same batteries for $27.xx and 4 pack of the AA for $15.xx.
I bought one of the slow chargers with an extra set of batteries, figure having one set always charged should be at least as good as a quick charger. I think they took about 8 hours to charge.

May I ask the charging rate (current, in mA) of that slow charger ? I found that quite surprising a slow charger can melt a battery. It's likely a battery problem.

Keep the batteries and toss the charger.
I've done that before with FD.

I'd highly recommend the Sanyo Costco Package if you're interested in batteries.

If you want a REALLY good battery charger, get this one. I bought this from this website a year or 2 ago and I'm very pleased with it. It's even brought some batteries my friend thought were dead back to life.
