New Grocery Store: Bank st Blue Heron Plaza, MARKETFRESH now Farmboy! opning soon!

I was just by the Blue Heron mall on Bank St near Billings Bridge.

The Market Fresh went out of business a few months ago and there is now a sign saying that Farm Boy is opening up there.

Farm Boy is great and they have their own dressings, salsas and pasta sauces wich are super good!

I am guessing the other clocations that were Market Fresh will become Farm Boys also...

I don't know when they are opening.

Farm Boy is only taking over the MarketFresh location on Bank Street. They aren't taking over any other locations.

The newest Farm Boy, opening next week, is in Barrhaven on Woodroffe Ave.

Farm Boy opens in Barrhaven next week

Locally-owned grocery chain Farm Boy plans to open its newest Ottawa supermarket, in Barrhaven, March 16.

The store, at 3033 Woodroffe Avenue, will be Farm Boy's seventh Ottawa location. It offers 21,000 square feet of retail space and will employ 125 people.

"We are very excited to be part of the Barrhaven community and look forward to meeting its residents and providing them with a unique shopping experience that people have come to expect from us," says Farm Boy president Donny Milito.

Farm Boy plans to open an eighth Ottawa store later this year, at the site of the former Market Fresh grocery in the Blue Heron Mall.

Farm Boy also has a store in Cornwall.

I bet they will have more of those singing cows and animals throughout the store.
If you've been there before you know what I'm talking about.
