what insurance companies are there in ontario right now that I can use to get an online quote ?
Also just any advice on my situation would be nice also
22, just got my g2 last week I had my g1 for about 5 years. I do have a driving certificate. Under my moms name/insurance she said they wanted $3600 for the year. I read a few days ago about a 17 yr old that just got their g2 with car under their own name quoted approx $250 with bellairdirect.
Also what things influence insurance, car/year/colour ??
Thanks in advance :)

just a little info
a) when you got your g1 makes no difference...it's time after g2 that counts. your drivers training certificate will help tho.
b) don't look what others got as far as prices goes....different factors make different rates....2 people living half a mile apart can have completely different prices based on location/postal code alone
c) colour of the car makes no difference at all....but other stuff does such as the value of it...and it's safety ratings -- so most honda's score badly actually.

c) it's not the safety rating that makes Honda's insurance high. It's the fact that so many people drive them and they get stolen alot and that kids race with them.

If you're going to deal with insurance companies, you're going to get bent over the table and reamed hard.
This is a law of reality.

Insurancehotline.com gives quotes from a number of insurers.
I don't think colour affects premiums at all. On all the online quotes, and over the phone, they never ask what colour it is.

Don't know where you got this information, but color of your car has no impact on your rate.
When doing those online quotes, I don't ever recall them asking me for the color of my vehicle (I could be wrong though)..

colour of your ride only affects how likely you'll get a ticket and indirectly your insurance premiums

Just wondering , won't your driver's license be expiring soon? They give you 5 years max to go from G1 to G license.
