For me it's DENY's in Brampton, on Queen St. You can get a full breakfast with eggs, bacon, ham, panckaces, hasnbrowns, toast for like $8.99 or something. It's great and they serve it 24 hrs a day!

If you're talking breakfast places in Waterloo, Mel's Diner at University Ave. is the best by far. At least it was 2 years ago. All day breakfast: 2 eggs, with bacon, ham, or sausage, home fries and toast - $3.49. But the prices have probably changed since I was last there.

In waterloo Mel's is the slowest and most expensive place you can go to. I like Angie's Diner, it's pretty good.

Ground Zero was the absolute best when it was still around.

In Hamilton area I like to go to the egg and i

It started out at 2.99 when I was there. I found the food there better than Angie's or Ground Zero, but things have probably changed. I remember when they switched from normal home fries to these weird orangey potatoes

Bluestone Bistro looks nice and I heard that it's pretty good.

pics and menu:

Bluestone Bistro
4261 Highway 7 (kennedy)
Unionville, ON
Tel: (905) 475-6999

(located on Hwy 7 between Kennedy and Warden in the same strip mall as Yang's Kitchen for all you AYCE people)

First of all, the service was very good and attentive. The decor was nice and bright. The coffee was above average which is always a good start! My wife had the Florentine eggs beendict (rosti potato on the bottom, smoked salmon and spinich under the poached eggs, english muffin on the side) It was very good, the hollandaise sauce was not overly strong which is how we like it. I had the bluestone skillet (black forest ham, eggs and cheese over homefires on a piping hot skillet) This was ok, exactly how is sounds, a hearty, comforting breakfast. The highligh was my father in laws smoked salmon, crab, brie omlette. WOW. What a combination on a omlette, it was out of this world. My father in law was raving about it all morning. It really was quite good. We'll be heading back for sure.

The food was excellent, but the price is on the high side for breakfast. Total for all 3 of us with tax and tip was around 36-38. I don't remember exactly. I would still recommend this place!

Daybreak
SE corner of Church and Carlton
- Diner-style breakfast, a large selection of omelettes, frittatas, waffles, pancakes, etc. etc.
- Everything is under $10, some breakfasts are around $6
- Breakfast is served all day (I think), until they close in the early evening. It's a breakfast and lunch kind of place

This place is my absolute favourite breakfast joint in Toronto. The coffee is fresh and good, the service is great, and the food amazing. Their aim is to make sure you don't leave hungry, so any breakfast you orde is huge, and they always throw two pancakes on top, so you can try their homemade syrups.

The only way I've ever finished one of their breakfasts is by being extremely hungover. Seriously.

There is Perkins located in Etobicoke that serves all day breakfast. They are a bit more pricy but they serve great food. I love their caesar salad bread bowls. I first went to Perkins during a family vacation in Floriday like 10 years ago. When I drove by one in Toronto I had to go try it.

1. Angelique's Family Restaurant
2. 31 Barr Road, Ajax, ON (near Westney and Harwood)
3. Typical breakfast fare is served here. They special is 3 Eggs, toast, homefries or hashbrowns, and baked beans.
4. $3 and up
5. All day breakfast (open from 7a to 3p almost everyday)

This place is fantastic... a little small, so you have to go at just the right time to get a seat. But they are always friendly and the food is oustanding for the price.

Looks like no one has mentioned any places in Mississauga yet. I've been trying to find somewhere good but haven't had much luck yet. The Pickle Barrel has a $9.99 buffet brunch - but that's kind of expensive for breakfast and it doesn't start until 11 am. I've tried going to Cora's but was scared away by the line ups and prices on the menu. The last time we went out we ended up at Smitty's which is ok but is kind of overpriced and packed with families.

So far the best cheap breakfast I've found was at Appleby's restaurant in Meadowvale Town Centre. I forget the exact prices but they had a few breakfast choices for under $5.

Chez Cora is a popular chain restaurant started in Quebec.
Food is average and seems kind of high.
Breakfast for 2 would cost about $20 plus.
