I HATE USED CAR DEALERS..

those greasy, slimey, sales ppl just trying to swindle ur money.

anyways, im thinking of purchasing an off-lease vehicle car that is still under warrendy thru the original dealership/manufacturer.

has anyone had any experiences with http://www.autotechemporium.com/

just being on RFD i am a master of the private sale haggle, but i find with newer cars, most are thru dealerships/offlease, etc..

if you are looking at that silver wrx, its been there for about 3 weeks. i pass by that dealer everyday wanting to test drive it. they had a blue one earlier but i think its been sold or hidden in the back.

you better have a good mechanic to check out the car for you.... or odds are you might end up with a lemon.

Used car dealerships are a scam. So many hidden things you won't find till you drive it for a bit.

well, given the business email is at yahoo.com, i'd be weary of this place... every proper business i think should have a domain email of its own... but that's my own opinion....

used car dealers as a whole are scams, real dealerships and otherwise included

given that, I'd say you're going to have better luck at a real dealership, though you will pay a bit more if you don't know how to haggle, and still bring someone that knows about cars to have a look at it if you don't. Remember, once you drive the car off the lot, it's yours and the dealer mostly has zero obligation to you.

I once went to look at a Civic Si at a Mazda dealer, called them up beforehand and asked if it had any accidents or damage that they know of, they said only the front bumber cover had been replaced. I went there and had a look at it. The whole front end was screwed and repaired very poorly. Paint was flaking around the corners, absolutely nothing was aligned correctly, including the sunroof. I stopped right there, didn't bother asking for a test drive or to look under the hood. They were asking 9k for it, I wouldn't have taken it for free

Given that though, you're going to find a whole lot less wrecks at real dealers compared to Honest Habib's. Real dealers get a lot of their cars through trade ins and off lease so the cars are in much better shape, compared to a write off that was bought off auction and repaired poorly for resale that you'll find at the small guys
