I have forsale a comeplete machinest apprentice (1st or 2nd periord) tools. If anyone is going to be taking the "Tool and Die, Pre-apprenticeship" program at Seneca College then these tools will more than satisfy the required AND recommended tools. With what I have you will not need to buy anything except books, and i'll even throw the few books that I have (from 2004) for this program in if you so wish. Thats another easily $400-$500 right there.
PM me if your interested...
Here goes:
Kennedy 8 drawer machinest apprentice tool box model 526 ($250)
Mitutoyo 0-1" micrometer ($75)
Mitutoyo 1-2" micrometer ($80)
Mitutoyo 2-3" micrometer ($100)
6" ruller ($15)
Centre Gauge ($15)
allen keys (metric and standard) ($20)
pocket scriber ($15)
ball-peen hammer ($20)
Centre punch - ($10)
Dial test indicator w/magnetic base ($40)
Mitutoyo combination square set series 180 ($175)
Mitutoyo 12" flexible ruller ($25)
Edge Finder ($20)
6" precision square ($50)
10pc parallel set ($80)
5pc centre drill set ($50)
Deburring tool w/spare blades ($20)
Machinests Hand book ($125)
Mitutoyo 8" digital Vernier ($230)
29pc standard drill bits ($105)
26pc letter drill bits ($150)
drill bits #1-80 ($150)
drill point gauge ($20)
And that should be everything....this is essentially EVERYTHING a first and second level machinest apprentice would need. All of my stuff is very lightly used and i purchased all quality tools because a tradesmen is only as good as his tools and when your on the job your best friend and your ONLY friend are you tools so that why I bought good stuff. It really makes the job easier when you have a quality tool to work with and I have gotten a lot of compliments on my tools from others in the trade. I've even had 30year machinest/toolmakers tell me that they don't use as expensive tools as i have and I was just an apprentice!
Anyway the prices in brackets is what I paid, add all that up and you'll see that i spent over $1800 on all this stuff. The drill bits are all in good shape and barely used. The standard bits I have replaced a few that broke and none of them are dull (actually I think only 1 maybe missing from that set).
The drill bits, centre drills and paralles are very handy tools especially if your working on a milling machine. Like I said, everything works great and everything looks great. I will have pics hopfully tomorrow.
I am looking for $1200obo for everything. I'm not going to part out anything because its just not worth my while and i'll just keep it all.
Reason for selling is because I am no longer interested in the machinest/tool and die trade. Anybody seriously interested is welcomed to see and verify my stuff. I have nothing to hide and I stand by my tools, I know what I have and I know what they are. I'll be damned if I'm going to sell it all for practically nothing. I'd rather keep them and just look at them then sell them for nothing so lowballers you WILL be ignored.
