No don't clean it yourself its not worth it, you are better off getting it done professionally in the long run.

Don't do it yourself...$100 is pretty steep though...where did you go? Most places charge between $40 and $60 I find...unless there is something else wrong with the jacket...describe please...

Is it visibly dirty, or do you just want to freshen it up?
If it's dirty, what is on it?

I would just use a damp cloth to wipe the dirt/dust off and allow it to dry.
Should be not problem, just don't use a lot of water.. just damp.

i was just going to suggest this.
buy a suede brush and gently brush the area. your best bet might be finding one in a shoe store, it is just a small little brush.

careful...don't put any water on it...also, keep in mind that if you don't get the dirt/stain out properly now, it will be a problem later...either the skin will weaken because of your rubbing (the brush idea) or the stain won't come out if you wait to get it cleaned in a few months (since it will be set)
I love suede, but it's such a pain in the ass to maintain/take care of...
EDIT: are you in Toronto? If' so I'll send you the names of a couple of different leather/suede cleaning places...they are the ones that actually clean it when you take it to the drycleaning store...hence, you can cut out the middle man and get a better price...
How bad is the stain? Post pics!
