Nope, they are both mixed.

Fathers of the parents are black and both of their mothers are white.

That's pretty cool, and it also tells how we're controlled by our genes.

Before I read that, my first reaction was "she must have cheated on her man the same day he got her pregnant, with another guy!"

Especially after i read they came from different eggs. That's cool though. Later in life imagine if the white girl hook up with another white guy and has black kids, the guys reaction is gonna be like "wtf!?" lol

I don't think that the white one is carrying the black genes.

"According to the Multiple Births Foundation, baby Kian must have inherited the black genes from both sides of the family, whilst Remee inherited the white ones."

I think you're wrong.
Genetically her offspring can still be black, even though she herself wasn't dominated by the black genes, but they should still be in her genetic code, if I remember correctly from bio class...any expert care to correct me if im wrong?

Yeah... I remember something like that ... about dominating genes and recessive genes... with blue and brown eyes, the gene for blue eyes is recessive, but it's possible for a person to have brown eyes and carry the blue eye gene and if the other parent also passes down the blue eye gene then the kid will have blue eyes, regardless of the fact that both parents have brown eyes. I don't know if it works the same way here. I could look into it, but I'm just too lazy.

That's amazing!
It's too bad they weren't guys. You'd have before and after Michael Jackson impersonators.

No actually, eye colour is determined by the presence or absence of a single dominant gene. Skin colour is determined by a blending of several different genes. So a white person and a black person will always produce an offspring of intermediate colour. When two people of mixed race produce an offspring they will pass on some random combination of their white and black pigment producing genes. Thats why the white girl in the story is so fair skinned - she only received "white" skin colour genes from both parents.

Because of this she could never produce a black offspring when mating with a white man - because they have no "black" skin colour genes to pass on.
