So, I've emailed them requesting one stating it is for an assignment and I'd need it, but if they refuse to give me one, is there any other way to get an Annual Report of theirs from 2005?

buy a single stock of nintendo, and since it is your shareholder's right to have access to audited financial reports, they will send you one.
or reason with them, that since you are potential investor, you would like access to their audit reports :)

Send a second email.
I was just kidding, I'm really just researching your company as I am a potential investor.

I'm saying IF! My teacher said that a lot of companies don't like to throw these around simple because of the expense they put into it. Having seen the 65 page report in PDF, I can say yes, it would be expensive.
Anyhoo, going to sleep. I'll check out this thread in the morning!

Good grief! The financial stuff doesn't start until page 37! Does the teacher really expect the first 36 pages of fluffy, irrelevant pictures?

I know, but there are other things I need, like that message from the president, some other company related things. I hope they send me one.

Nope, Management.

burn the PDF on to a CD and give that to your teacher.

Run it off at a print shop, can't be more than a few bucks. Start in the middle and avoid the fluff.

just print it, the ink and paper will only be a couple dollars worth anyways.

I guess I won't have to waste any money on it, Nintendo's a nice company. :D
Hi Jonathan,
Thank you for your e-mail. If you would like for us to send you a hardcopy of the annual report that you need, please e-mail us back with your name and address, and we'll get this out to you.
Sincerely,
Nintendo of America Inc.

It'll cost you about $6 plus tax to get it printed at Kinko's if you did it black and white on basic stock, single sided, ant thats for all 65 pages. Throw in another $4 and you can have it bound as well.
If not try and email them again, although you shoudl be aware it can take some time to get. I know I've requested a couple of BMWs annual reports and they take a few weeks as they send them out from Germany.

While you're at it, ask them to send you a Revolution too. The guy seemed like he was in a generous mood.

Why not just ask for a position on their Board of Directors while I'm at it?

That position probably requires a high school diploma. You have to chance.

companies dont usually give them out to students for assignments... your teacher should have told you that when she gave you the assignment.
When I had to do one on Canadian tire, i walked into head office and requested one without 1. mentioning i was a student and 2. it was for an assignment and they just give it to you.
it might be better if you call in and talk to a person if there is a number to call

Yeah they do...all the time. Sometimes they even send boxes full of copies to schools for free.
And he already said he got it btw...

Haha yeah, like winner2000 said, I got it already being sent to me. But yeah my teacher mentioned companies not giving it out to students because it's just an expense that way. But eh, this works!

I got it today, the Nintendo Annual Report. I now realize why they were so eager to send one to me: they photocopied all the pages on it and paper clipped them together and sent it over. I still appreciate it, just would have wanted the real one. :(

Thanks for the update, I was getting worried the other day when you didn't let us know if you got it or not yet.
