Is it a good idea to go to Orlando in early July, or will I burn/sweat to death or get caught in a hurricane? Are there big savings on lodging & attractions to be had by going in summer?

It will be extremely hot and humid in July. Occupancy rates won't be as high as the march break, but they will still be reasonably packed, as students are on summer holidays.

Hi,
While it is very hot and humid, Florida is fun anytime. It's fairly busy with tourists though until late August when many states go back to school.
In July & August you get a cool down dumping of rain most days late afternoon or early evening, but it generally nice if you like the heat.
