Currently the general rule for copyright is that is expires 50 years after the calendar year of the authors’ death, the exceptions being an audio recording which expires 50 years starting the end of the calendar year that it was first recorded, and the other being cinematographic “a film or video published within 50 years of its making is protected for 50 years from the date of publication. If it was not published within that 50-year period, it is protected for 50 years from the date of making.” Do you think these 50 year terms should be extended?
