hhh

ok, i think it's time for me to settle down for a real relationship with a girl instead of having random plays/casual relationships...
I'm having trouble on where to start....i don't go clubbing much....i'm having a hard time finding a girl to date / start a real relationship....where is a good place to start meeting girls? If you don't mind, share your story about how you and your girl/boyfriend met...maybe it'll give me some ideas....

Network. Friends of friends, friends of family, friends of coworkers etc. Go out to every event you're invited to and pretend to smile or have fun. Get as many potentials as you can.

or as mentioned, a random event you got an invite to.

clubs arent good places to meet girls....
Ive met some amazingly hot girls, with the personality of a card board box. -_- couldnt go anywhere.
I met some really fun girls, but they were. err..... too "fun" .......
But it is good to network. to have friends, with friends. then it all kinda becomes interconnected!

One of my friend met his other half on a high school classmates reunion. Another one of my friend met her bf from on-line dating thing and they are happily together and serious about it.
LOL...may be we can get a dating service here on RFD. That would have been really cool.
Good Luck
That idea has already been suggested and didn't go over too well

That is definitely the best way in my opinion. Don't go to clubs to meet girls that you want to settle with.
I met my girlfriend through friendster, and we are in a serious relationship, so I guess you just gotta try all your options.

i don't really get how people can "meet their gf/bf" on friendster, so what do you do, just go through your friend's friend's friends list and just talk to a random girl/guy that passes your visual test?

Hey PlayerOne!!!
How bout we try to hook you up. You tell us your location, like a city, that you live in, And whoever else on RFD is around your area, tries to hook you up anonymously, like by making you 2 meet in a certain location.

I was told the anser to that question Dear Sir is NEGATORY....NO!
I made that suggestion earlier and my thread was completely bashed on!
But...seriously!
Get out and do "stuff".
I usually meet nice guys at the mall, grocery store, leaving work, Chapters, volonteering.
Or when you go to alot of Festivals volonteer parties you meet some cool people...
Bars are ok for meeting guys. I dated a guy for 1 year that I met in a bar...exept I sort of knew him before and he knew one of my friends.
But meeting people through friends is usually good!
Online dating is ok- lots of creepy guys I find though!
or join a sports club, you always meet fun people there- and they usually go out to the pub every week afterwards!
Bars and clubs are fun, but more for hanging out with friends than meeting guys I find!

haha, i'm in a little messy situation at the moment
however i'm willing to bet it won't happen, that a girl would actualy meet up with some guy on rfd,
so you know what? sure, I'll tell a little about myself, and if I end up meeting this mystery girl in person and i find to have potential, i will admit defeat, and to show how much I doubt this will happen, I give my word that if it does happen, I will buy everyone on page 1 of this thread a drink(provided you're willing to go to downtown toronto)
i'm male, 19, chinese, 5'8", studying at UT for engineering, not model material, not butt ugly, have a sense of humor, perfer an asian girl, not interested in girls that sleeps and flirts with every other guy

First triple h, stop watching wrestling...if you were like triple h, you wouldnt have a problem finding a relation with like a stephanie McMahon. j/k
I would go clubbing. Try finding a girl in your school. Like a class mate or even a co-worker to start off. Then ask them to chill sometime. Avoid churches and temples if your only there with the attention of macking on girls.
if you're rich or can act like you're rich, use your money to get girls. I don't suggest this but i've seen too many guys do that and it works...but those kind of girls are only into your money first.

Heheheheheehe, asian male studying engin/comp/maths. Such notoriously bad odds of them having gfs ;)
Join a club. Do it hardcore tho, don't wishwash it through. Interact with the significant female members of the club. However, be sure the club you join has ...significant female members.
Or if you do club, do so at university club sponsored nights, and try to go with a group of university friends (doesn't have to be from your university, any university). Chances are if you go with a group of friends to such an event, they will meet people they know, and you can increase your friendbase. (It's reading week, good time this weekend)
Visit your friends at other universities/classes to get a chance to mack on their friends.

you have to go out and meet people, go out with a group of friends, ask your friends if they have any single girl friends who you could meet, go to every function at school or work, smile and be polite. always always offer to drive people home, don't drink (big put off drunk guys are a very big put off) you will meet your special person just keep on being nice to every female you meet, even at the store or on the train or bus. :D

Take some classes that a lot of babes take, cooking, yoga or dancing. My friend took a salsa dancing classs and he said the girl to guy ratio was like 4 to 1. He said at least half of them were hot too.

that is a great idea salsa dancing, any cooking class is good and you learn to fend for yourself, a girl loves a guy who can cook.

haha, i honestly doubt that, lots of cool non-nerd asian guys out there does well in school and has hot girls swarming around them
anyhow, little more about "fun" side i have a motorcycle license, getting a bike soon, i also moutain bike, and was captain of vball team and i play bastketball, i drive a 06 solara
i think odds of asian guys that studies engine getting a gf is not slim at all, as long as you're not one of those nerdy retards

Oh no, I do agree with your top comment, no doubt there are lots of Asian guys out there with gfs.
I wrote my comment as there seems to be a disproportionally large number of Asian guys in those particular fields, so chances are most of the single Asian guys I meet just will end up falling into those specific categories. So it's not that holding those qualification dooms you to a life of singlehood, but it's that the probability of a single Asian male being in those fields seem to be high.
It doesn't help that a lot of them seem to be socially inept...

No offence, but calling yourself "PlayerOne" and claiming that you're
"not butt ugly" seems like an equivalent to saying "I'm ugly...and dammit, I wish I were a player"..so I pretty much understand where you're coming from.

You know it's a great show when they use a HOTMAIL address as their contact information... Ah, Canadian television... I love whenever Andrew talks about being in the glamorous matchmaker limo (which is obviously a rental since they advertise for it all the time).
The show that our lonely RFD's should go on is the 5th wheel... anyone remember that one? Priceless.. someone would always end up alone at the end while the others make out in front of him / her. I loved it... I wish my husband would let me go on that show!

haha, how's that no offense, but anyways, no offense taken because i didn't use that name with the intention of having the meaning of a dude that sleeps with random chicks. i just didn't know what screen name to use, and my bro with showing me his old old playdium card that he found, which says "PlayerOne" on it. and that's the story of my user name
