I have tried on the mp3 for a few minutes for testing purposes. The sound quality is just AMAZING - I promise you that this sounds much better than Ipod. I think this is due to the 98db because it gives a CLEAR SOUND quality without noise. If it is not for the touch pad, I would keep it for sure. This is BRAND NEW - great for a gift.
