hello, im not sure if this is allowed but i feel it should be here as a warning.
I posted this honestly because at the end he said he was gonna tell people what went down, i wanted everyone to know the truth. This guy is a complete nutcase and should be avoided, now im 24 and i can hold my own but there are younger people on the forums that might just deal with this person and if something happens to go wrong i certainly would not want anyone to have to go through the ******** this guy did to me, i can honestly say that this guy should be banned permenantly, he never did anything wrong as to sending bad merchandise but he clearly has some marbles missing or something. One thing i gotta say is this guy pretty much messaged me every single moment i was around, it was endless and evertually i got angry.
Well my name is Steve and about two weeks ago i put a thread up about selling my ATi AIW X1800 XL 256 pcie video card to a user of the name Hdnet. After a couple of days of dealing we finally agreed on a price, what came after that is by far the worst experience i have ever had when dealing with an individual. So we finally agreed he would buy the card for $400 and after much persuation i agreed i would COD the card to him, so in total he would pay $406.
I send the card for the amount agreed upon plus i pay out of my own pocket about $11 for express shipping, after i think about 2-3 days he gets the package and picks it up on feb 15th, upon receiving the card he informed me that the package was damaged and sent me pictures for proof, he then starts yelling at me that i did a ****** ass job of packing it the way i did, i appoligized about the damage and said i would take it up with the courier he then continued to harass me about the packaging and threatening me that the card better work etc. So a few hours later i message him and ask if he tested it out, he hadnt and said he would right then and hour or two later he messages me and says everything is good, @11:52pm (feb 15) he messages me that he tested 3dmark05 and got a score of 8080 (i scored 6200 so its clear this card works) this is when he wants to exchange heatware so i do and he does and i think okay all is well. Right after the heat was doen he informs me that his boot screen was messed up he said he would test it, we never spoke of that issue again.

He messages me that BF2 and the drivers were not responding, i reply that BF2 is a buggy game and that it could be bad drivers he then says he willy to format his computer and reinstall everything.

I get a message that the card is still not working and that he was going to order another mobo and try the card out, because 3dmark01 and BF2 will not work properly and if the card didnt work he wanted his money back. At this point i tried to stay calm but i pretty much exploded, i told him i was sick of him messaging me constantly and that i wanted my card back. So after telling him i wanted the card back he then states he wanted his money before he sent me back my card. First of all i never had his money at this point nor do i have it as i type this post (sunday feb 19 7:40pm) i do however have the slip to pick it up, i tell him there is no way in hell im sending back his money back (which i dont have) before i get my card first not only did i not trust him but how he talked to me on msn which was more like a threaten or harassing kind of way i wasnt going to send him money first.

After contacting a fellow rfd'er about how i should go about dealing with this issue he gives me some tips so i message hdnet asking some questions about his computer, i asked if he was runnng at stock and i mean cpu and everything at stock he told me "yes, i have been having problems since i put in the card" thats when i said "then your lying, you told me you ran 3dmark05 stable" just the day before he tested 3dmark05 and was happy he then goes off calling me a "dumb ****" and that i "****ing burned him" i tried to stay calm but come on, a person swearing at you and calling you an idiot you try to keep your cool. He continues to swear and demand his money back. I then tell him "then why did you say you were happy with the card? why did we exchange heatware? why did we do all that and now your saying you want your money back" he replied saying he assumed the card was fine etc.
So the conversation continues about how hes getting screwed and that he wants his money back, yes he keeps repeating he wants his money even though i told him in plain english that i didnt have it. He endlessly told me how ****** the packaging was, "this is the shittiest packing ever" "you ship a card in toilet paper" For your information it was parcel paper and honestly i didnt think there was going to be a problem, i have had cpu's and motherboards shipped to me (as far as as vancouver i might add) in there original boxes with just parcel paper and no damage was to be found. I again apoligize about the packing, i told him to ultimately drop the whole packing issue but he never did and honestly i didnt know CanadaPost was that irresponsible with there shipping.
So finally comes the debate on how to send the card back i told him send it back to me and ill send your money (i had EMT in mind, its fast and easy) he said "ill ****ing eeither cod you the card back or deliver it" I first said deliver it then changed my mind because i didnt want this nutbar anywhere near me so he then goes off and says "and man yes iw ill show up at your ****ing door to slam this ****ing card down you throat" at this point i told him to either stop threatening me or i was going to ignore him completely, he then threatened to post on the RFD forums about what was going on and i told him i didnt care, i had already contacted a mod about the issue. I eventually agreed on COD, i didnt want to at first because he had my video card and i didnt even have his money yet.

We both finally relax and start talking like nothing happened we agree he ships and i pay when i pick it up and im thinking good its finally done.
Feb 19 Afternoon sometime.
I was home for the weekend so i log on and i msg him briefly that when he sends the card that i will pay a total of $415 which will cover for him to ship it to me. I did this because if the card is infact damaged the user shouldnt have to pay to ship it back to me, just common curtusy.

I get back into Toronto, i log onto msn and im instantly messaged with this happy note.
"I have came to a conclusion for all this, i will keep the card even tho its hooped but i have to obviously rma the card now i would like you to pay for the shipping for me to rma the card. i also have been talking to a few rfd mambers raven the jew and balou911 they both say this is what i should do seeing how the card was improperly packaged, which is noones fault but yours" I keep my cool by the fact that again he has yet again mentioned the packaging (and to be honest it was int he original box and it was quite secure) I agree to the concept of him rma the card and i pay for shipping, i then tell him asl ong as the shipping is within reason i will pay for it, he goes on to tell me that he wants to ship it 2-day purolator i then tell him again as long as its within reason, i wasnt going to pay $30 for him to ship from sarnia to markham, he told me that it shouldnt be more then $20 so i agree but i wanted him to make sure of the price.
This is where i just decided i wanted my card back, he disagreed saying he wouldnt COD it (ironically enough) unless i sent him his money first, he was mad that he had no card and no money although i had no card and i still didnt have his money. So after i go through this whole COD ******** he tells me he doesnt want to do it himself because it would take him 2 weeks before he got his money, i told him "if you sent the card the day you agreed to me on i would have my card and the money would already be on its way" Anyway im getting inpatient so i tell him to ship me the card like we already agreed upon, he said no he wanted to rma it himself, honestly i didnt trust him, he could of told me shipping was $35 and i dont even know for sure if the card is infact damaged. At last this is what i finally said to him;
"okay here it is, last week after you bitched at me to COD it back to me and we finally agreed to that your now going back on your word and now bitching at me to pay for rma shipping. We already agreed that you would return it and that i would pay for the shipping, i have been very cooperative with you, so i would like my card back please and thats it. The longer time you spend not sending it back the longer you wait for your money. I will rma the card myself if the card is infact unstable on my pc, if you decide to rma it and not give it back to me then its your responsibilty"

"ok for starters i wouldnt lie anto you and then trya nd keep the card, also you can go **** yourself (if in fact)wtf, you ****ing screwed me, straight up intentoinal or not, **** you ill keep it"

him "yayayaya whatever, **** you, thanks for the poor shipping and packaging.
At this point i ignore him and tell him if he wants to contact me do so via RFD PM.
