I've noticed that in other forums using vBulletin, they enable a feature that lets the signature be displayed in the first users post on that page.
I don't mind cuz I've got broadband....but for those who don't have it, and I should presume to do a bit of stress lowering on the server? maybe this would help?
Yours?
I know I personally find it redundant to see my thread fifty times on the same page., when you only need it on the first post.

Why don't you just do your part by shortening your sig over a line instead of centering it all if you are so concerned about forum clutter?

If you have an issue with it just turn them off entirely.

Even if you just shrink down the font, it'll make it smaller.

Well look this is a band-aid solution., it doesn't change the fact.

Well turn them off then...personally I think sigs should be no higher than 60px which is about 3 lines

Hey there's an option in User CP to disable other peoples signatures?
This sounds like a miracle option.. I'm going to enable it.
Stupid signatures.
Edit: hey this is heaven! http://www.redflagdeals.com/forums/profile.php?do=editoptions

hehe...well signatures are fast becoming ones own personal bulletin board.
I only started including my items because I noticed other people using them.
I do not want to disable them, because it has become a quick resource and point of reference for me to see what the other person is all about.
thanks.

I think signatures should be limited to a single line.
I mean, it's *A* SIGNATURE, not a section for many signatures.

hehe...you should go check out howardforums.com [img] coding has been ENABLED (unlike here) so you can add pictures in your siggy. There's size restrictions-but it's generous imho.
a single line won't fly. People want more than that.

That's the whole point of a sig.
But at least I try to keep mine fairly small...

lol..not a genius., just reads what's in user options ;)
mmm looks like a losing battle. oh well., It doesn't really bother me., was more of a thought really.
I find it funny that RFD will leave multiple sig display but disables IMG coding in siggys??? what's up with that.

There's no official rules on sig sizes....although I've heard Ryan just say to report sigs that are too big, but I don't think they really do anything

i don't want to disable sig entirely because it usually contains useful links to heatware and such, but there are a lot of other crap too. oh well.

If you want to help reduce bandwidth consumption, perhaps you'd care to lose five or six lines off of your sig? Feel free to copy this:

hmmm this is slowly becoming how can we complain about bubblzz sig more than what I intended it to be :(
Txis...thanks for the suggestion., I prefer centering., It stands out from the regular left justification.
I shrunk the size though :)

+1
Edit: On second thought, we should probably just reduce signatures to one line. That would really unclutter it up a lot.

Isn't the signature space used for..umm..signatures? Since when were signatures advertising spots?

Exactly. As if we dont have to deal with enough banners and crap. I wish RIP could remove certain peoples sigs.
