This user here has sent me 2 PMs in the last 5 min, both with this message:
Hi
I am selling authentic apple ipod in-ear headphones still new in the box. I must admit I tried to use them but it didn't fit in my ear holes because they are quite small. However these are great ear buds because they block out other noise and increase the volume you hear. They will help save your battery life. They come with the everything included even the 1 year worldwide warranty I got with them. I am located around midland and steeles. I also can make a deal in downtown Toronto if needed. I am looking for around $45 with a local pick up for these earphones as they retail for $80.5 at futureshop and bestbuy and even more on the apple website after shipping. Please consider the offer

No offence, but how did you send the above message without realizing it? That doesn't even seem possible.

looks a newb who searched and bumped an old thread and PM the OP... a simple misunderstanding
that's giving them the benefit of the doubt

Yeah, but that's a completely different OP. How the heck can you PM someone by mistake?

Well PM is right next to quote, so I guess it's possible to hit the wrong one.

Oh well, unless the guy is spamming numerous people, I don't think it's a big deal. I don't see how it could happen unintentionally, but he probably deserves to be given the benefit of the doubt.

Got the same spam. This is not accidental. Looks like he's randomly (I hope) picking profiles and PMing.
