Has anyone here ever heard of this place? I'm planning to visit Osaka with my parents during the summer and as you all know, hotels are superly expensive over in Japan and you're just gonna sleep there anyways. So I was just wondering if this Inn is legit and stuff so I won't be living on the streets when we get there and realize its non-existant. And if anyone do know about this Inn, would you by any chance know about their policy on 3 guests? I don't see any "triple" rooms on their site. Thanks =)

Lived in one of these in Japan but while I was in Nagoya. Nice hotel at a fairly decent price (in comparison to some of the other places). Rooms are clean and in great condition and its a fairly well recognized franchise I think. In Osaka I had the pleasure of staying at a hotel for half the price but in a far more ghettoer part of town (sex shops everywhere). As for triples, I'm not sure how they price that. Have fun. Japan is quite interesting.

Generally in Japan, rooms are priced by the person. Although most moderately priced hotel rooms can barely fit 2 let alone 3 people. From personal experience, the 3rd person paid the single rate, so there was no point squeezing the 3rd person into the room as it was the same price if they got their own room.

Have a great time!

I stayed here, might not be adequate for you and your parents:

It's really cheap, I think we payed something like $25/night and it has no curfew, actually I'm not sure if it's this one or the Hotel Raizan North but they're right beside each other anyways. Be forewarned that this place was scary as hell, the hallways looked straight out of the Korean movie "Oldboy".

When I was in Osaka last year I stayed at the Comfort Hotel Osaka Shinsaibashi (http://www.choicehotels.com/ires/en-US/html/HotelInfo?sid=YDKOg.0RUwig2vh.1&hotel=JP025) for 2 nights. It was clean and safe location. Pretty good location 2. It more like a business hotel so no room service or pool. But if you not going to use them why pay for them. They only allow 2 people to the room so you would have to get 2 rooms. And the staff spoke perfect English and very helpful with telling me how to get to places around Osaka. I paid like $60 cdn a night (In the off season Dec) for the room I was happy.

I flew on an AC 767 from YVR to KIX but this was my Boeing 777 post at RFD. :cheesygri

Indeed, Osaka hotels are way cheaper than Tokyo's. Tokyo-inn is a pretty famous franchise, so, it's one of the good options. I lived in Hotel Riva Nankai in Dec 05. It's a pretty nice hotel and the price is acceptable. It is right at the city center with a lot of shops and restaurants around the hotel.
