Toronto <-> Calgary

Take the train once there to go through the mountains (so beautiful), but definately fly to calgary.

You can't take the train to Calgary..at least not directly. It goes from TO to Edmonton. I think Rocky Mountaineer offers a train to Calgary but it's VERY expensive. If you're really set on taking the train, I suggest either fly to Calgary and take the train back from Edmonton or vice versa.

It isn't such a long drive from Edmonton to Calgary. It is more Montreal -> Ottawa than Montreal -> Toronto. (Unless you take the scenic route through the rockies, lol)
