Is there a Dvd/divx player with dvi-d output?

I'm looking for a dvd/divx player that has dvi-d output so that I can hook it up to a pc monitor. Does anyone know if such a model exists?

the ever popular oppo 971, panasonic s77 come to mind (hdmi). basically pretty much all the upconverting dvd players should have hdmi output, that can be easily have the audio stripped and output the video only via an hdmi->dvi adapter (the adapter goes for about 50 bucks @ tigerdirect)

u can also get a componet out to dvi converter but that will be 100% useless as the resolution of the image will be left in its anamorphically sqeezed native dvd 720x480 format (13.5:9) instead of unsqueezed 854x480 (16:9). But if ur using a 4:3 monitor then the componet->dvi monitor will be fine

A: Oppo OPDV971H outputs in DVI-D format, and its package comes with a 5-feet DVI-D cable.

So you shouldn't have any problems getting this player hooked up to your monitor.

BTW, if you want to save some big $$$ on DVI cables, use monoprice (http://cgi.ebay.ca/3FT-DVI-D-Dual-Link-Digital-Video-28AWG-Gold-Cable-M-M_W0QQitemZ5867565468QQcategoryZ64632QQtcZphotoQQc mdZViewItem) . They offer great prices, about $15CAD for a cable shipped to Canada. They are in California, so it takes about 2 weeks to get to Ontario, but it's much better than paying TigerDirects prices.

they are shipped by a few distributors in canada but u definatley wont be finding them @ futureshop. what kind of monitor will u be using here?
