Westjet deal from multiple cities to US destinations. Must book by February 14, 2006 for travel until May 31, 2006.

Just stumbled on this one and booked for a friend from Toronto direct to Vegas: May 6-13 $123 one way - $358. (taxes in complete)

not really a hot deal, going rate on expedia.ca inclusive of taxes for those dates is only like 375 anyways.

e.g.

C$377.82 inclusive of all taxes

8:35 pm Depart Toronto (YYZ)
Arrive Las Vegas (LAS) 10:20 pm Sat 6 May
Duration: 4hr 45mn United 8477
Direct flight

12:01 pm Depart Las Vegas (LAS)
Arrive Toronto (YYZ) 8:49 pm Sat 13 May
Duration: 5hr 48mn United 1414 / 8426
Connect in Denver (Denver Intl.)

i'll choose a 1st tier airline over westjet anyday

Instead of dismissing this as not a hot deal, maybe you can help everyone out by offering something better.
Imo, quoting a rate $20. higher with a stopover and booking through expedia (gaining no points) does not qualify.

Good for you...

You do get points on flights booked through expedia on major airlines.

Are there issues booking through Expedia if you have to cancel or change your booking? Hotels are stickier about that, but I don't know about flights. Booking directly through WestJet, all you'd lose is a $30 admin fee.

It all depends on the fare rules for your ticket (which you can obtain by clicking on 'rules and restrictions').

Good for you...

1st, you don't have to book by feburary 14th to get the price on expedia

2nd, you have much wider choices of flight times booking with expedia

3rd, you get points on the respecitve alliance dependent on the airline you book

4th, you don't need to travel on 2nd tier westjet

thus this is NOT A HOT DEAL.

on a side note, this "hot deal" is now 130+taxes one way and total including taxes is now 372 ;)

You know what...I'm really not interested in arguing this with you.

I'm just putting this out for anyone who is interested in going Westjet to US soon and would be able to take advantage of this seat sale.

Over and out.

I think it's a pretty good deal compared to my SouthWest non-stop flight out of Buffalo at $307 US taxes in departing May 19 and returning May 27. Thanks Qyee!

i'm not interested in arguing either, i just wanted to point out the prices are similar to regular price on expedia on regular airlines. so people don't have to rush to book it before feb 14th when the price is not much cheaper than regular prices

i didnt say it was a bad deal..just not hot since the price is only marginally cheaper than the major carriers with points and more flexibile times (e.g. choose to arrive in morning)

Looked at 7 different weekends between Mar - May.. all regular price.. is this only for TO? Site says $122 from Edmonton. But all the dates I check (even some middle of the week ones) were regular priced.

4got10,

Sale good for all listed cities (limited dates).
(I know the site is a pain, though.)
I got Edmonton to Vegas May 21 - 28 117 x 2 = 344 complete

Phone them 1-888-937-8538 and they will give you exact dates of the seats on sale. They were really helpful.

Good thing it's not in the hot deals section eh?

It's a pretty decent deal compared to regular prices.
