Last month, January 16th, Ryan sent me an email saying I won $100 from NCIX about the wishlist sweepstakes back on Boxing Week. I filled out my personal information, answer to skill-testing question, but so far it's been a month, and I haven't received anything yet.
I sent Ryan a few messages asking him how long it'll take through PM but I guess I wasn't important considering the job he does around the forums.
I'm sure some of you here have experience winning sweepstake prizes, so anyone able to tell me about how long it takes for NCIX to snail mail me the gift card?
Thanks.

Here (http://www.redflagdeals.com/forums/showthread.php?t=244669) is the list of winners.
I haven't received the prize yet. I hope it arrives in the next couple of days. I'm eyeing some items on the NCIX sales page.

Thanks for that link, I didn't notice it before. Guess Ryan didn't forget us - glad to see someone who won didn't get theirs yet.
I'm eyeing things on NCIX as well.. want a new pair of OCZ ram, which has their MIR until the middle of February I believe... hope it comes in soon!

I also won and I also haven't received anything as of yet.
Ryan responded to me and told me that NCIX has been pretty slow about releasing the money.
So it seems NCIX dropped the ball.
In all reality though, we should be thankful, it's a free $100 for us doing nothing.
I hope it comes soon though, I wanted to take advantage of their valentines sale. I want one of those PCI wireless network cards for $29.98
I'm thankful and all, but I sent NCIX an e-mail a while ago and if they don't either release the money or at least get back to me before their sale ends, I will be very disappointed in them and probably won't spend a dime on their products, except for the $100 gift certificate I won.
Whether it's winnings or not, customer service is still important to retain customers.

Yea, but the complicated thing is, the process is through Ryan, then to NCIX.com... for all that I care, I could email NCIX and they could be laughing at me in the email saying "why would we give you $100", etc... if you know what I mean.
I know the $100 is free and even if we don't get it there's not much to complain about, but it's promised and therefore we should get it anyhow. I didn't get an email or PM from Ryan but according to your email, perhaps it's NCIX who's at fault then. How long ago did you send your email? Maybe I should send one to them too... which department did you send yours to?

Ryan told me he's been chasing after them, but they have to wait for someone to release the money. I doubt it's Ryan's fault. From reading past threads on RFD, it sounds like NCIX doesn't really pay much attention to customer service, so this is probably just another example.
I sent them an e-mail almost a week ago and haven't gotten a response. I sent it to customer care.
It's pretty bad when a company loses the faith of someone who has never even purchased anything from them before. I already have a sour taste in my mouth. I'm a potential customer and they can't even e-mail me back. TI don't care about the money, I care about the service. That's pretty shoddy.

Well, it's not like I'm wanting to blame someone for where my $100 is, it's just that I'm concerned about where they actually are. I'm glad that Ryan is following it up for us, because I've PMed him a few times, and he never answered, where read receipts said he DID read my PMs.
As for NCIX and customer service, I'm not too certain... I bought from them a few times and never experienced the need to ever contact customer service, so I don't have anything YET to complain, but perhaps after this I might... let's hope the money comes in sometime this week, because the sale ends soon.

Again, I don't even care about the money, it's not really my money in the first place, so it's just gravy. I do care about them not e-mailing me back though. It was a simple question that involves a simple answer.
I just wanted to know if I could buy something with my credit card while it's on sale, then later on, apply it to the $100 I won through RFD. It's not like they have to track down the money, they just have to answer the question for me, which they haven't done. That irks me.

Why is RFD continuing to affiliate itself with N CIX, when clearly N CIX doesn't care about the business it brings in?

i bothered ryan with 2 PMs requesting an update and he's been a class act and very patient. let's give NCIX time to sort it out and contact us. it's just a nice feeling winning "anything" so i was happy just receiving my "You've Won!" message -- good way to finish off our boxing day craziness.
congrats to all the winners...we should pool it together for a laptop

Yea, it was a good feeling getting that PM too :P But I mean, once you win, you win - NCIX is obligated to give us what we won, or at least they should under whatever contract that they signed with RFD (I HOPE that there was a contract involved..)

Just got this from Ryan forwarded from NCIX:
"Hello - unfortunately due to a complication in our internal system, we are experiencing a delay in having your prize gift card mailed out to you. The invoice has been created, which you can use as reference, and we hope to have the matter cleared up in 1-2 weeks. The issue is that in making the cards free of charge, it also affects the amount of credit on the card, so we must adjust it so that no fee is paid but the card still has the correct amount. We sincerely apologize for the delay, and assure you that all gift cards will be sent out as soon as possible. Thank you for your understanding, and for your interest in NCIX.com!"
Looks like they're finally coming in.

I finally got someone from NCIX to respond to my e-mail, although I needed some help from Ryan for that to happen. Thank god for his help or NCIX would have probably continued to ignore me.
It looks like I will be able to get the ASUS wireless network card for the sale price once the gift cards are released, even though it won't still be on sale when that happens. The same applies to anything that's on sale right now. So for those of you who also won, we're not missing out on the current NCIX sale, we can still get the sale prices once we get the money.

Thanks for the update, but do you mind telling us how that'll work? How will they give us the sale prices now a few weeks later? Care giving us more details about your conversation with the NCIX rep? Thanks.

Sorry if I haven't answered all of your PMs. I've been going back and forth with NCIX and sometimes it's like: "I'll answer Jon's PM after I hear back from my latest email" and then when the response comes in, I'll have PMs from two of the other winners and I'll respond to them and forget about the first one. :s
As I understand it, the delay is because they are implementing a physical gift card system where they previously just gave credit or points.
Hopefully it'll all be sorted out soon.

Mine has yet to come... considering you're in GVR, it should be at the end of this week at earliest that I'll receive mine (in the GTA)... :(
