All quicktime blows.
Well that could just be my pure hate for the program. I couldn't stand it. Bloated, tried to take everything over. Anything ff or opera wanted to play it would always pick Quicktime.
Just download VLC and never need another video player ever again. It's small, fairly fast and will play any video complete or not.

They all blow. RealPlayer and Quicktime. Stay with the Alternative version.

I've never had a problem with QuickTime, and as ways use it to output my files, usually with Sorenson 3 compression. I purchased QT Pro to play around with h.264.

VLC media player is awesome. Great support for various formats, without the excess bloatware.

You only need one alternative for every video player.
VLC, everybody should check it out and give it a try.
