Threadcrap bans not being enforced?

It seems that ever since all the election threads popped up, the mods have been much more laid back. I've been called everything from a nazi, to a bozo to a bigot in that racial profiling thread. I've also seen others personally attacked with no ban handed out.
I guess all the elections threads kind of changed the atmosphere around here.

I don't know if the mods are just letting things go a bit more or if they just aren't seeing those posts.

Either way, I agree with you that some rules aren't being as strictly enforced in the past, although I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing in all the situations.

There should be a warning system based on points.

For ex. after 10 points = permanent ban

Spamming = 1 point
Threadcrapping = 2 points
Racial slurs = 3 points
Flaming/personal insults = 2 points

And then your points would go down by 1 point per month.

Too complicated - the rules as they are aren't being enforced.

Use the report a post function. If nothing happens, report it again later. There are sometimes a couple hundred reported posts a day, so some reports do get lost in the shuffle, more so when there are bigger issues reported that have to be dealt with.

Political threads are less moderated because it's either that or ban them completely.

Making a statement that the rules are more lax in some threads isn't necessarily complaining, it's just making a statement. I prefer it personally, especially in the political threads.
