Hey Fellow RFDers.
I am writing to let you know that the film “Anamnesis” which I produced has been selected for the Cinequest Film Festival online competition. Your help is both needed and would be greatly appreciated.
As mentioned, it is an "online competition" which means if I receive the most votes, my film will be entered into the main competition of the Cinequest Film Festival. Cinequest is one of the top film festivals in the world, and it would be a great opportunity for me to attend and network with people and filmmakers who work in the industry in California.
** Please note registration is free (all you really gotta do is put in a postal code). You don't even have to put in an e-mail for who refered you.
So what do you need to do?
You need to go to this website and register:
http://www.cinequestonline.org/2006/theater/viewers_voice.php
Short version of the steps you have to take in order to vote:
1. Click register
2. Fill out fields (e-mail address, Postal Code, age, who referred you to the site)
3. Search for my film "Anamnesis" by letter "A" or go to this direct link to the "Anamnesis" page: http://www.cinequestonline.org/2006/theater/detail_view.php?m=867
4. Click on "watch full feature"
5. Download "Active X Control" (if you don't already have it)
6. Wait for film to download in "Kontiki Delivery Manager" and "Open Media Network" (OMN)
7. Make sure to "sign up" to the OMN by clicking "sign in". Put your e-mail and specify a password.
8. Run/Watch film from beginning to end (If you get an error message about not having the right license and to delete the file, sign into the OMN client then hit play again, it should fix it)
9. Vote for my film out of 5 stars and leave a comment (the more 5 out of 5 ratings as well as positive comments I receive, the better the chances I have of winning the competition)
