k lets correct a few things here andru.
RAZR would be the proper term. and if you look correctly, its the v3x
a different model than what is currently available. not the same u see at rogers, telus etc...

prices are avg. nothing hot .

Administrative Contact
Tam, Mark 25 Briarglen Road Markham, ON (CA) L6C2K5 1.4169181333 marktam@rogers.com

The OP appears to be elsewhere in the GTA, so it may not be an ad, or might just be for a friend.

Either way, the prices blow.

nothing special, pretty much the same prices everywhere but instead you can get them at local stores with 1 year warranty and everything...

Many stores BS about their warranty and lure you to buy it, as soon as it has problems, they tell you to refer to the manufacturer warranty.

Actually they are selling the W800i for $485...in other stores like easycell.ca and bongowireless.com, they are selling for $100 more.

I suppose if you can go into the store and pick it up it is a good deal. But don't get the W800i, wait for the W810i that is coming out in a few weeks because it has 850 GSM.

this guys probably a self advertiser but just to clear this up... SX833 is the HK release that was unlocked before the Japanese version (903sh). they have a slight physical difference...the SX833 has a Smartone logo on the camera lens side and the 903SH is missing that...the firmware is also different. The prices aren't as bad as let's say easycell but yeah get out of here

prices are good, well i compared the SE W800i cost $4200+ in HK in December, and i have tried to add that fone from that website, i would get approx $3777.xx after paying price of fone + shipping + 7% tax + 6.77 conversion rate from CAD --> HKD (current rate), therefore you save almost $500 HKD when buying from this site...

also the 1GB SanDisk Memory Stick Pro Duo is @ $75.90, cheaper when you buy from net-link (i think if i didn't rmeember it wrong) plus there are 5 yr warranty on that as well...

Thanks, Starlin seems to really have some lower prices as they are selling the Moto L6 for $216 and the L7 for $366

EDIT: For those interested in the L7, you may want to check out the other deal with Omegacell...

If I'm not mistaken, they charge like $40 for shipping (yikes) and it ships from Hong Kong, meaning brokerage and duty on top of regular taxes!!!

Most consistent low pricing, good customer service, and free shipping based in Edmonton: www.omegacell.com

Does anybody know where to get a decent priced phone in HK that'll work with the Rogers network. I'm really tempted to buy it from one of the sites mentioned in the thread but I'm going to hold out till I go to HK next month.

It all depends on whether you want to take the risk of buying a phone with fake accessories bundled and/or no warranty. I'd say stick with the big phone retailers or even with the telecom companies for your purchase if you're afraid of buying potentially fake stuff. However, you can take a look at Sin Tat Center (dunno if that's the correct spelling) at Nathan and Argyle in Mongkok. They usually sell phones at CAD$50-100 lower than retail but usually have a catch.

And there's those new 3G phones too.
But nowadays almost all phones in Hong Kong are at least tri-band for GSM phones.

I can. I bought a phone from them, it was shipped very quickly. They use FEDEX for their shipments. I was pissed that I did not get the tracking # until later. So, had to call in FEDEX to ask the tracking # (they can do so by looking up thru your address)...

but FEDEX could not deliver the package on time due to customs issues.
The package will get staged, cuz hi-mobile will put the cost around 100 bucks which is standaard for em. Your duty would be around 25 bucks.

The take orders from montreal I think?
