I have a F.E.A.R Problem.

Just started playing this game finally and the resolution is limited to 1120xsomething.

I edited the settings.cfg file and set it to READ ONLY, but I'm still limited to those defaulted resolutions.

Any idea how to get it to 1280x1024?

can your video card and lcd/crt support that res? what kind of vid card and monitor do you have?

That's odd. Well even if you could set it up to 1280, I would still tell you to run it at 1024 resolution instead. Performance is much better and you can put up the anti-aliasing a bit as well.

The game itself does not natively support 1280x1024 because FEAR *only* supports 4:3 aspect ratio resolutions.

I believe you can force it to 1280x1024 (5:4), but the image will be distorted as a result.
