mini HD seems like a waste if you can buy flash memory that's much smaller for roughly the same price.

It use mini USB link to PC (cable included) and the software is not for file transfer but some sort of mail and security...

already own a 1 gig usb key.. fits on my keychain just fine.. not bad at all for a 1 gig mini harddrive..

No, it is for the security software that is included. Odd, this drive has no drivers for Windows 98. Well, anyways if you are using Windows 98, save your $50 for this mini hd and buy a new PC instead!

already own a 1 gig usb key.. fits on my keychain just fine.. not bad at all for a 1 gig mini harddrive..
You may wish to be a bit more carefull with this vs flash drives (as mini-HDs are more "fragile").

Wonder if its a Compact Flash or Microdrive inside that usb 'hard drive'. If it was it would make a fairly cheap CF card with additional card reader!
