Does anyone have Look TV here? Is your reception total crap right now? The signal is completely broken, picture is stuttery with compression artifacts and absolutely no audio.

And of course no one is at Look on the weekend to answer the damn phone.

Look uses Bell's network to transport the television signals to different cities. Unfortinutely there seems to be a network problem which may be affecting Look, Bell says they're working on it.

Look uses microwave transmission and doesn't get affected by weather; at least not that I've ever seen. My condo building is close to downtown (ie. the Look transmission antenna on top of the CN tower) and the signal has held through the worst storms we've had.

I'm surprised they use Bell since it's obvious at times Look gets their content from Starchoice. I would have thought they'd just receive a Starchoice signal via satellite locally and rebroadcast it. The stuttering definitely looks like network lag; like try to watch something stream over the internet with lots of packet loss.

I hope Look does SOMETHING soon, it's a sinking ship. Despite the "repackaging" of channels we essentially got a price increase with nothing to show for it. The silver package is what we basically got before. No HD channels and no bandwidth for it. Look's signal is compressed to hell. Better than Rogers analog but far from the competition's digital.

Maybe someone around you has a Hawking wireless router.
