L/F: T610 - T616 - Instead of V551 - What to do?

I wanted to know whether i should buy a T616 to replace my V551.

I have a V551 (still works fine) but i am getting bored of it and was wondering if getting a T616 was considered a downgrade of quality or an upgrade...any comments?

If you currently own or use a T616 (or T610) can you tell me what you like and dislike? Please post on the forum.

Aside from that, i am still looking for a T616 (or T610) but would also like to know what people out here think about the phone's.

I am located in Mississauga, and would prefer a Local Trade.

both phones have 850... so reception is similar

Personally, I think a T616 is a much smaller phone. The V551 will get better reception since it's in a different "CLASS"(or power level or something, read it from HowardForums from one of the Rogers guys) of 850MHz. Also I find the V551 ugly. However, it has an awesome screen but crappy camera but its still loads better than the camera on the T616.

I like the T616/T637 better than the V551.

Even though it has less features, the phone is perfect size, not too big or heavy. Even though they both have 850 band, I found that it was a lot clearer with my T637 or T616.

V551 has bluetooth I had both phones also... I just used Bluetooth on my sister's V551 a few days ago...

I had all three. T616 is not good at reception because its PC5 max 0.8W on 850 band. Check HowardForums for more details if explanation is needed. T637 is actually much better than T616 in terms of reception because its PC4 max 2.0W on 850 band just like the V551. Screen is smaller on T637 and T616. T637 has better screen than T616 because its TFT but not as good as V551. (T616 uses STN) Overall speaking, I liked V551 because of its better screen. Bluetooth on all three so there shouldn't be a problem. V551 has more memory on board so it allows MP3 ringtones. T616/T637 only has 2MB and it does NOT support MP3 ringtone. Camera is slightly better on the V551.

V551 for practical (functions)
